During the week there will also be a series of side events designed to allow participants to explore specific themes in dynamic dialogues, or just network with their peers.

Sustainable Development Dialogues
This multi-cultural cross-sector roundtable and dialogue session sponsored by UK’s Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) will explore the current key sustainable development issues in the agenda of the following emerging economies: Brazil, China, India, Mexico and South Africa.

Networking Fair
The Networking Fair is one of the highlights of the event. It provides an informal opportunity for participants to share experiences, cultures, knowledge, establish new friends and kick back, relax and have some good old fashioned fun!

Launch of the publication “Megacities and Climate Change”
Fellows from LEAD Member Programmes will display and present  the publication “Megacities & Climate Change”. The Publication explores the linkages between leadership and climate change in a rapidly urbanising world informing key stakeholders and decision makers on why this is such an urgent issue,  and where we should focus our resources and actions. The Publication has been  developed by 10 Fellows experts in urbanisation.
